Answers for merchants using the Sale Countdown Shopify app from SRH Web Agency.

What does Sale Countdown do?

It adds countdown timers to your Shopify store so you can show limited-time offers. You can use a storewide bar, product and cart timers, product-card labels, and homepage or password-page widgets.

How do I install the app?

Install Sale Countdown from the Shopify App Store, then open it from Shopify Admin under Apps. Shop domains are not entered on the public landing page.

Why don’t timers show on my store?

The app embed must be enabled in your live theme. In the app, click Enable in theme editor (or Activate), turn on the Sale Countdown embed, and save the theme. Then make sure the widget is enabled in the app dashboard.

Which themes are supported?

The app is built for Online Store 2.0 themes, including Shopify’s Dawn theme and Horizon-family themes such as Horizon, Tinker, Savor, Atelier, and Ritual. Other OS 2.0 themes usually work if they allow app embeds and app blocks.

How do I create a widget?

Open the app, click Create widget, choose a style (Bar, Small, Product label, Inline bar, Inline, or Large), then set content, timer, and targeting. Save the widget and keep it enabled.

What timer types can I use?

• Fixed date counts down to a specific end date and time in the store timezone.
• Evergreen shows each visitor their own remaining time from the first visit.
• Daily runs during set hours and repeats on the days you choose.

Where can I place widgets?

The bar can sit at the top or bottom of the store. Other widgets can be added to product pages, product cards, the home page, cart, or the password page, depending on the widget type. Some styles are added through the theme editor as app blocks.

Can I show timers only on some products?

Yes. Product labels and some widgets support targeting, such as specific products, variants, tags, or inventory rules. Rules you set in the editor are the ones that apply on the storefront.

Does the app store customer personal data?

No. Sale Countdown stores merchant widget settings and Shopify session data needed to run the app. It does not collect shopper names, emails, or order history. See the privacy policy for details.

How do I uninstall?

Uninstall from Shopify Admin. When Shopify sends the uninstall or shop-redact webhook, we delete that shop’s timers and sessions.
