Terms of service

Effective date: 8 September 2026

These terms describe how merchants may use the Sale Countdown Shopify app provided by SRH Web Agency (“we”, “us”). By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms.

The service

Sale Countdown lets you create and show countdown widgets in Shopify Admin and on your online store through a theme app extension and an app proxy. Shopify remains a separate platform with its own terms.

Who may use the app

You must be a Shopify merchant (or staff acting for one) and have authority to install apps on the shop. The app is not intended for children under 16.

Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for widget copy, offers, dates, and where timers appear on your store.
• You must enable the app embed (and any required app blocks) in your theme if you want widgets to show on the storefront.
• You must not use the app for unlawful, misleading, or harmful promotions.
• You keep your Shopify account, staff access, and theme changes under your control.

Access and scopes

The app requests the Shopify access it needs to run, currently including read_themes so we can see whether the embed is active and help add widgets. You can review and revoke access from Shopify Admin.

Billing

If a paid plan is enabled for your install, charges are processed by Shopify Billing. Shopify’s billing terms apply to those charges. If billing is not enabled, use of the app is not charged through this app.

Availability

We aim to keep the app available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Theme changes, Shopify outages, or disabled embeds can stop timers from showing even when the app is installed.

Intellectual property

The app, its design, and its code belong to SRH Web Agency or its licensors. You keep ownership of your shop content and widget settings. You may not copy, resell, or reverse engineer the app except as allowed by law.

Privacy

How we handle shop data is described in the privacy policy. Please read it with these terms.

Disclaimer

The app is provided “as is.” We do not warrant that it will meet every theme or that it will increase sales. To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, SRH Web Agency is not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app. Our total liability for a claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the app in the three months before the claim, or zero if the app was unused on a paid plan.

Suspension and uninstall

You may uninstall at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken or if we must do so to protect the service or comply with Shopify. After uninstall or a Shopify shop-redact request, we delete that shop’s stored timers and sessions as described in the privacy policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
